Used to have the original "This way to the gents" tape and "How it all Began " on vinyl, but alas they have long since disappeared ! Crying or Very sad

Believe some shite called Greg Light nicked them at a party of mine in late 80s (along with about 20 other of my favs... including a few rare Northern tracks) !

Anyway... bring them out again... Pleeeeeeeeeease !!!

No way! c.d's are bloody terrible! the sound of the gents was made to be on vinyl! just pulling out that lovely black vinyl and slipping it onto the turntable makes it all the better. Get off your butts and go and seek out the sound of the gents as it was meant to be. on vinyl!, on vinyl!

Followed my older brother into being a mod in the 80's and listened to some of the best music i probably ever will. I'm not a mod now but there's a sense of it still that lingers on as does the music. I've been looking out to see if any of the old acts i used to listen to have gone digital with their LPs but, alas, all i could find was Makin' Time; A bonus in it's own right but certainly not the whole picture. If The Gents could see themselves straight to release their repertoire on C.D. I could assure them they would have the interest of both me and my brother. They musn't forget the transposition of their 'monday on my mind/dogshit blues' 12inch which was a belter and probably one of the best versions of this song that's ever been produced. I don't know what enmity drove the band apart and still may aile them now neither do i care but it shouldn't stop them agreeing to release their music on C.D.s and for downloads for (i'm sure) the many who will spend their pennies to own their songs.
I'm a musician. I have a good ear for talent, and production and The Gents had it in abundance. They wrote, played and produced with a mature musical talent that produced songs that were not only catchy and easy to listen to but produced pieces of work that will stand the test of time and will still sound good today ('Monday on my mind'is a prime example.). A chnce to make some extra pennies off of their talent and efforts shouldn't be missed by the boys and neither should they hide their light under a bushell when they have a catalogue of music like they have to be proud of.......
...come on lads...GET ON WITH IT.....preferably BEFORE us oldies get too senile and arthritic to work our P.Cs/C.D. players!
